Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement will be hosting several teach-in events across the state this month focusing on the transition to a 100% clean energy system. Guest speaker Chris Woolery from Kentucky will share how his state is transitioning away from fossil fuels to a clean energy future that benefits all people.
Climate change is happening and getting worse every day. Now is an urgent time to work together to protect our air, water, and local communities.
Topics that will be covered in the teach-in include:
The major challenges and barriers preventing us from transitioning to clean energy more quickly.
How to build power in our communities to transition to 100% clean energy and energy efficiency that benefits all people.
How the Pay As You Save (PAYS) program for energy efficiency works in Kentucky.
