Stores to Avoid this Holiday Season

It has been common practice over the past few years for stores to try to one-up each other in the archaic capitalistic tradition of Black Friday… by holding the sales on Thursday. This cuts into Thanksgiving for workers across the country that are denied the time with their family. Even worse rarely, if ever, do these companies compensate their employees for the lost time beyond their regular wages even as they pull in millions from the rabid crowds.

Many have responded by not shopping at the stores that put profits over people if it is feasible. However, with the hustle and bustle sometimes it’s easy to forget which stores have participated in such bad behavior. To help with this problem, here is a list of stores in Iowa that will be forcing its employees to work on Thanksgiving Day.
