Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate is holding a public hearing about the new Voter ID (voter suppression) law passed by Iowa House Republicans and Iowa Senate Republicans. Pate’s office did not publish information about the hearing online, but Bleeding Heartland found the hearing and posted about it.
Iowans should be very concerned with not only the law itself which is designed to decrease voter participation but also the way the law is being implemented and the lack of education occurring that could help more citizens exercise their right to vote. Please attend this hearing if you can, and speak out about this dangerous Voter ID law!
