Last month Progressive Voices of Iowa posted a poll of potential and announced Terrace Hill hopefuls, and out of the crowded field of candidates a virtual newcomer to the scene, newly elected State Senator Nate Boulton, launched to the head of the pack with a commanding 25%. But at that time it was only speculation that Bolton would join the race. That speculation was put to rest with a video that was released earlier today.
The 37-year-old former workers compensation attorney from Columbus Junction, has only been in office of four months, but has made a name for himself in that time passionately defending the rights of Iowa workers, as he led the charge to rebuff efforts to strip away collective bargaining rights and workers compensation protections. The announcement today has Democrats buzzing and early indications are that the video is being very well received by Iowa’s Progressives.
