Weaver Continues to Gain Grassroot, Progressive Backing
SHELDON, IA – Democrat Kim Weaver, running against incumbent Steve King for the US House seat in Iowa’s 4th Congressional District, announced over fifty new endorsements of her campaign today. Earlier this week, Weaver was endorsed by former US Secretary of Labor, Professor Robert Reich.
The list of new endorsements for Kim Weaver includes local activists, several current and former state elected leaders, and television personality and feminist icon, Rosie O’Donnell. Weaver issued the following statement in response to the latest endorsements:
“The momentum this campaign is building right now is amazing. It’s inspiring to see Democrats from across the state coming together to support this campaign and our movement to promote politics of decency over politics of division. It’s going to take a unified effort to win this election, and I believe it’s a challenge the people of this district are ready to embrace.”
