Three months ago today, Progressive Voices of Iowa launched with its first article. Since then we have covered state and federal elections, the minimum wage battle in Polk County, topics of mental health, social security, the efforts of progressives within the Iowa Democratic Party, and the #NoDAPL movement from Standing Rock to Boone. We have even tickled your funny bone with some satire. We have experienced tremendous success, and the PVI citizen board decided it was time to make a few upgrades to better serve the people and cover progressive issues.
The new layout features a new functionality and style that make it more user friendly, more appealing to the eye, and, most importantly, places a greater focus on the stories, news, and articles that you’ve come to expect from the citizen journalists of PVI. We have also upgraded our hosting package, and hope to make good use of the new tools that the upgrade will provide for us.
A sincere thank you to the editors, citizen journalists and writers who help to provide a voice to progressive issues, and insight to important events, for making PVI what it has become. Thank you especially to our readers and followers. We are humbled by your support, and a hope that we can continue to deliver on our promise to be your source for progressive news and comment.
