On Saturday, October 22nd, former presidential candidate and Governor of Maryland, Martin O’Malley, will campaign with 4th District progressive Congressional candidate, Kim Weaver, in Ames.
Weaver and O’Malley will be at the campaign headquarters of the Story County Democrats at 104 Kellogg, from 11:30a to 12:15p, where they’ll meet with local volunteers and campaign staff, as well as answer questions from the press.
The Weaver campaign has been working very hard in the lead up to election day, and her stardom among Progressives in Iowa has exploded in recent months. Her quality also seems to have buckled the knees of her opponent, incumbent Steve King, as he has refused meet Weaver in a debate.
*Updated: It was previously announced that Weaver and O’Malley would be at the Ames Farmers Market. Instead the entirety of the Governor’s visit has been moved to the Story County Democrats campaign headquarters.
